The Best Currency Advice I Can Give You From 25 Years Trading Experience

I have been a trader for over 25 years and have seen most things booms, busts, extraordinary life changing events, the rise of the internet and here I am going to give new traders what I Consider the best currency advice I can in terms of getting started in the exciting world of forex trading...
The first bit of advice I would give you is, don't think currency trading is a walk in the park - its not.
The rewards of currency trading are high and it's important to get the right education and don't believe anyone who tells you that you can make easy money. Forget all the forex robots with there fake track records, or sure fire trading systems at the end of the day they won't help you.
Trading is a personal experience where you have to construct a forex trading strategy and apply it yourself with discipline.
You can get a lot of good education free online and you should approach the markets by using forex charts.
By trading with charts you can simply trade price changes as you see them on a chart and you can learn this skill in a few weeks and soon be making big profits for just 30 minutes work or less per day.
You only need a simple robust forex trading system and forget about anyone who tells you there is some hidden market order in terms of a scientific theory - there isn't and applying complicated theories is doomed to failure, as they have too many elements to break. Keep it simple and keep it robust. I have used the same system for over 25 years and NEVER changed it. Sure it's not perfect, no system is however it makes money and that at the end of the day is the aim of currency trading.
The real challenge of currency trading is maintaining discipline and my currency trading advice here would be - it sounds simple but it is actually very hard and most traders never master it.
If you are a currency trader you are going to have a strong of losses which will last for weeks ( even the best traders do), what you have to do is to keep executing your plan with discipline through this losing period, until you hit a home run which you will, if your forex trading strategy is soundly based. You have to lose to win and many people simply can't take this and throw in the towel.
They can't stay disciplined and if you cannot apply a system with discipline, you simply don't have one.
Currency trading is a unique challenge, anyone can learn to trade but most fail because they cannot accept responsibility, follow others, or get the wrong education.
If you take responsibility for your destiny and get a simple forex system, you understand and can apply with discipline; you can enjoy currency trading success.
The world of currency trading is one where you can enjoy success with a great second income, or even a life changing income, if you have the right education and a disciplined mindset.

Forex Trading Systems - 5 Key Points To Consider To Get The Best Currency Trading System For You

There are lots of forex trading systems online and all promise to make you a lot of money, some can but most don't. This article is all about finding the best currency trading system for you...
Lets look at the points to consider in no particular order of importance, they ALL are!
1. Mechanical or Human Input
Some traders like a completely automated forex trading system, others like to have some manual input on the trading signals - the one you choose will simply depend on your trading personality.
2. Do You like Action or - are You More Patient?
If you are a patient trader, then a long term forex trading system will suit you. If you like short term trading, then you will be more attracted to swing trading - again this is simply personal preference.
3. Is the Track Record Realistic?
The first question you need to ask yourself is the track record real?
By this we mean has it been traded. 99% of forex trading systems we see on the net have not and simply make the track record up in hindsight and use this warning:
"CFTC RULE 4.41 - Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown".
The system may work - but most simulations fail and really you best off with a real time track record.
4. Can You Stand the Peak to Valley Drawdown?
A track record can make profits but it will have drawdown so assume that you join on the worst possible day and check the worst drawdown.
Can you stand it in terms of size and time to recovery?
Always assume your worst drawdown is ahead of you.
5. Do You Have Confidence in the Logic?
You will never have the discipline to apply any currency trading system unless you understand and have confidence in the logic. Keep in mind, any forex trading system has loses, so you need the discipline to ride them out.
Make sure you take the time to learn the logic and have confidence in it, as without the discipline to follow your trading system - you don't have one!
The Myth and Reality
The above are basic questions you need to ask when considering buying any trading system.
There is a huge industry in forex robots and vendors promising you huge riches based upon a simulated track record but they normally always fail.
Be sensible and be realistic in terms of seeking out a trading system that's right for you in terms of - your personality, your tolerance of risk, your objectives and your understanding.
Spending some time and keeping your feet on the ground, will enable you to find a forex trading system that's just right for you and can lead you to currency trading success.

The Key to Success in the Forex Currency Exchange

The forex currency exchange can be overwhelming for a newcomer as well as a seasoned trader. The market is anything but constant. There is however a staggering 3 trillion dollars traded each day, so there is a lot of money to get your hands on. Thanks to the boon of the internet, anyone with a computer, a stable internet connection, and a little bit of start up capital can take part. It's recommended that you have one more thing, however.
As I said, the forex currency exchange is a dynamic and ever changing market. It's just common sense that if you truly want to be a profitable success in this market, you've got to be able to stay on top of that market at every hour of every day as sometimes the most profitable trading opportunities present themselves while you're fast asleep.
This is where automated forex trading software comes in. This is software which you use in combination with your campaign as a more accurate and safer way to trade in the forex currency exchange. Basically your program constantly analyzes and watches over the market for you. It senses when the market is about to trade or a trend is about to form either for you, against you, or in an untapped area.
Using complex mathematical algorithms these programs collect and process every aspect of the forex currency exchange market's data, trends and changes, past and present, to give you a tested and reliable prediction of where the market is about to go. There is a great deal of less human error involved this way, as well, and honestly if you want the most accurate information affecting your trading, there is no substitute for trading software.
More traders are using software with their campaigns than ever before and as trading software continues to become the norm and future of the forex currency exchange, the programs continue to get more accurate and advanced to save their trader's more time, and to make them more money.

Best Currency Trading System - Finding the Best For Profits

Is there a single best currency trading system? The answer is no there are several, depending on your aims and risk tolerance. This article is all about finding the best ones and avoiding the bulk which lose money...
When choosing a currency trading system, you have a number that are advertised heavily which claim huge profits - but to get rid of most of them, just check the disclaimer on the track record.
If you see words hypothetical, simulated or back test this means it's NOT real trading and most are simply a back test. Avoid these systems! Anyone can make up a track record knowing the facts - but the test is making money in real time trading, where you don't know in advance what will happen.
These so called forex expert systems simply rely on clever copy and are designed to appeal to greedy and naïve traders and are not designed by successful traders. Think about it - if the systems were as good as there track records, they wouldn't be selling it for $100 to you! They would just trade themselves and make a fortune.
Finding the Best Currency trading System
Right that's the majority of trading systems out of the way, let's find the best currency trading system for you and also look at an excellent free one which has made millions. The two questions you need to think about are - what gains do you realistically want to make and what drawdown can you stand in terms of size and duration on your equity?
Generally the best automated forex treading systems with real time track records, will compound about 30 - 100% per annum and you can expect drawdown of between about 30 - 50%, on equity and an average drawdown of a few months. Keep in mind currency trading system trading is long term and there are NO systems I know of that don't drawdown for at least 2 months - that's just forex trading.
You have to stick with the system and have confidence in it, so which ever one you buy make sure you have confidence to trade it. If you do, you can trade it with discipline and enjoy some great long term forex profits.
A FREE One for you to Consider
How would you like an automated forex trading system that has been used for over 20 years, was devised by a trading legend, is based on timeless logic and is simple to understand and execute?
Well if you do, look at the 4 Week Rule by Richard Donchian.
We have written in depth articles on this so look them up. This is a simple one rule system and doesn't even need a computer - you just follow the rule.
The above system has made countless millions for traders all around the world, is still used today and it works. Even trading legends such as Richard Dennis were fans of it so if you use it, you know you're in good company.
Do the Following and Enjoy Big Long Term Profits
To find the best currency trading system, disregard the simulations, go for real time track record and check growth to drawdown. Once you have chosen the system for your forex trading strategy make sure you understand it, can have confidence in it. If you do this and judge it over the long term, you will be rewarded with great profits in around 30 minutes a day or less and enjoy currency trading success.

Forex Trading Education - The London Open Checklist

A thorough Forex trading education must include an understanding of the effect market timings can have on trading and liquidity.
One of the most active periods of the day is from the time the London market opens. Often around that time good trading opportunities will appear.
As part of your Forex trading education, learn to analyze market conditions around London open and begin to recognize good setups.
The following questionnaire and checklist will help.
London Open Preparation
About 15 to 30 minutes before London open check the answers to these questions:

  • Are the MACD indicators on the 4 hour and 1 hour charts in agreement? If they are not going in the same direction be very careful!

  • Is there MACD divergence on the 4 hour, 1 hour, or 15 minute chart? Look for other clues to confirm that price may go in the direction of MACD divergence.

  • On the 4 hour chart what is the overall trend?

  • Do a Fibonacci calculation on the last swing high and low and see if price is pulling back to an optimum retracement level or whether it is reaching a key extension level.

  • Note price in relation to the 200 EMA (Exponential Moving Average) on the 4 hour, 1 hour and 15 minute charts. Is price bucking the trend? In other words, is price above the 200 EMA on the 4 hour and 1 hour chart but below it on the 15 minute? Then be prepared for price to go long at some stage. (Draw the opposite conclusion if price is below the 200 EMA on the 4 hour and 1 hour chart but above it on the 15 minute chart.)

  • Are any Economic Reports imminent?

  • As the candle closes on the 15 minute chart at London open, do you see any distinctive candle patterns such as tweezers, or doji's or hammers indicating price exhaustion?

  • If I entered a trade right now in a particular direction, what would be the risk and where would I place my stop?

  • Within a few minutes of London open, if you see a number of factors converging from the analysis above, make a decision one way or the other:
    • trade
    • wait for clearer signals or a better entry point
Carrying out an analysis in this way each day at London open will do much to increase your Forex trading education.
It will make you aware of what is happening on the charts and in the marketplace and help you to arrive at conclusions.
There is no magic formula involved with Forex trading education. Put simply, successful Forex trading is the result of years of hard work, study, practice, and experience often gained through painful trading scenarios.
Eventually the newer trader learns mental discipline, and how to control the emotions - probably the biggest part of a Forex trading education.
Practice a procedure like the one above day after day and begin to see some progress as you get nearer the time you make profits consistently from currency trading.

Wealth Building - Get the Vehicle and the Method Here to Make Money Fast!

If you want build wealth, you probably don't have much to start with and that's no problem, this vehicle allows you to start with small amounts and gives you a way to make money fast and best of all its simple to learn and you can get on the road to financial freedom in less than 30 minutes a day.
Before we start you must have the right mindset and that a burring desire to succeed and an acceptance of responsibility - you are responsible for your financial destiny and if you take action you can do it. Most people are afraid of trying and fail to try - don't make this mistake - you can make money fast with this method, which requires only a few hundred dollars to get started so here it is.
It's becoming a financial trader from home - Don't think you can't do this anyone can and here is an inspiring story to show you how.
In the 1980s world famous trader Richard Dennis set out to prove anyone could learn to trade if they had the right attitude and he set out to trade a group of people in 14 days to prove it could be done and this lot of people were ordinary Joe's.
An actor, a female auditor, a boy just out of school and a security guard were some of the people taught.
After 14 days he gave them trading accounts and they soon piled up 100 million in profits - so Dennis had proved anyone could do it.
Now Dennis knew that to become a financial trader you had to have a combination of learning and knowing a trading system and then applying it with confidence and discipline and he taught them how to read charts and spot formations that repeat.
Anyone can learn this - all you do is follow price action - but you must have the discipline to trade these formations and cut your losses and run the big profitable trends. In fact you can lose 70% of the time and still make money.
The real reason this business makes money is you can trade more than you have and this leverage is a key to making money fast.
For example put 500.00 with an online broker and you can trade 200 x this amount no credit checks - you're given it on opening of the account allowing you to invest 100,000.
The key of course with leverage is risk control, if you can keep cutting your losses and lock and hold the longer term trends - you can make a lot of money and build wealth.
If you have the mindset to do this and will spend some time learning how to read charts you can be a winner.
Dennis proved this and may not become as a successful as his pupils but the opportunity is there for all and you can take it if you want to. You don't need a lot of money, you don't need a college education- just a burning desire to succeed and work smart.
Do the above and you could be on the road to financial freedom in around 30 minutes each day from home - sounds good? Well you can do it - if you want to, it's as simple as that.

Daytrading Emini Futures for Daily Income

Day trading the Emini S&P Futures really is a great way to make a living! I hear and read a lot of articles, newspaper ads, and even one or two ezine's that claim day trading is a sure fire way to lose all your money. I totally disagree. On the contrary, it is an incredible way to work a few hours a day and make a very nice 6 figure income.
No doubt, a lot of new day traders find themselves in peril and ultimately lose their money day trading. This bothers me when I read about it. It gives the successful day traders, such as myself - a bad name. I know quite a few day traders who have been succeeding at this for many years. What I learned is that success leaves clues! Meaning, the successful day traders seem to all be doing the same thing while the unsuccessful day traders are also doing the same thing - which, to no surprise is opposite of what the successful traders do!
We need to look at the root of the real problem, which is: Why are most day traders losing all their money? I think thats a real simple question to answer. Usually it is a lack of discipline and a solid set of day trading rules. Sometimes it is under capitalization and fear. Fear in itself is probably the biggest of the day trader "killers".
You may purchase books, seminars, and perhaps create your own strategies to day trade. All this is great, but if you can not follow the rules to the letter - you simply will not be a successful day trader. Discipline to follow the rules is a tough thing to acquire! I admit when I first started I had a hard time because I was always changing up my rules. That cost me tens of thousands of dollars. Read more about my successes and failures:
    http://www.eminitradingstrategies.com/emini-trader.html
Finally, I learned that the key to successful day trading was trading for income. I do not trade for a target price. I know how much money I need to make every day and I go out and make it, once I achieve my daily profit objective, I simply quit for the day.
My trading methods are very simple and easy to learn. They require discipline! You must under every circumstance follow the rules. My methods generate at least 1 point daily trading the S&P 500 eminis. I back that by a double money back guarantee!
I post my real trading results on my blog every day
http://www.eminitradingstrategies.com/emini-trading-blog/ I do not post "hypothetical" trades. I post real trades with real fills! Some of my trades are winners and some are losers. Either way I put them up there for the world to see. I urge you to look at them. Every now and then I take a day off, on those days I DO post hypothetical results and I make it clear I did not trade that day! However, even with my hypothetical trades, they are very realistic trades that would have been filled on limit orders!
Please when people tell you day trading doesn't work, don't believe it. You can earn a very nice living day trading. It's my opinion that the people who bad mouth it are simply the "wannabes" that didn't make it. Instead of complaining about it, find out why it did not work for you! Did you really follow every rule? Did you maintain discipline all the time? Whatever you do, please do not berate the people that really do it! And do it successfully everyday.
Just recently I've decided to teach my trading methods. Some of the reasons I am doing this is that I am tired of hearing so many negatives about my industry. I also have a strong desire to teach. I've shared my methods with a handful of people and I enjoy teaching, and love seeing the excitement and enthusiasm in them. If you have the discipline to follow a solid set of rules, you can be a very successful day trader.
Please stop by my website at http://www.eminitradingstrategies.com to learn more!
Thanks for reading my post. I can be reached at info@eminitradingstrategies.com

Forex Trading Software - The Software of Champions Or Tragedies - It's Up to You!

Your sole objective of selecting your Forex (FX) trading software should be to optimize your profits over the long term as opposed to maximize your profits in the short term. The software should function well in all trading environments and be able to produce consistent profits which every way a particular currency happens to be moving at any given moment. There are so many Forex trading systems on the market today that the decision of which one to purchase first can be confusing. Each and every FX trading system is programmed a little differently and offers a distinctive approach to trading.
If you are an experienced trader and are now looking to upgrade from the manual trading process to computer based system then it is imperative that the first step is to examine your on individual method of trading and be honest with yourself. After all, do you want to purchase a trading system based on trends when you a signals trader? Or if you're a long term investor do want a system based on day trading?
Maybe you have not been successful trading to date and are attempting to blame the software. If that is the case then you really should take a long hard look at yourself and determine if it's the software or is it you. If you decide that it might not be the software, but the fact you have not been executing your trades properly then instead of purchasing a new system immediately you should strongly consider an additional online training course.
The vast majority of the top notch FX trading software on the market today has been examined numerous times by both the developers of the software and many independent testing agencies. As long as the software you purchase is a state of the art system is has been proven that it is capable of producing long term profits if utilized properly. Unfortunately, far too many people jump into currency trading which can be a highly lucrative field but is also a very competitive area with little or knowledge of the foreign exchange markets.
If you are a new comer to the FX markets, then please first invest in one of the many excellent online course that will educate on the details of the market before attempting to jump right in with an automated trading system. The cost of these courses is so minimal that they are easily made up with one successful trade that it is just unconscionable that anybody whom has little or no knowledge of the markets would want to start trading without first taking a course.
The software you select can really make you a hero in the eyes of your family if you are educated on the markets sufficiently to understand them and have the software work for you as the tool it was designed to do. When selecting the software there are only a few vital points to consider. The first being to make sure you purchasing a top level program which is updated as required by the market movements. The next and final step is to a pick a software that is based on your personal profile of trading. If you're a newcomer to the markets then make sure you are selecting a proven system and make sure it is a general system as opposed to one that focuses on a specific style of trading. This will give you time to learn the different aspects of trading first and develop your own approach.

Currency Nicknames - Popular Or Geeky?

Currencies are like a bunch of kids in high school, fighting for popularity. Some currencies are geeky and some are perfect candidates for prom king and queen! Each and every currency has a nickname and unlike high school kids none of the currencies get "offended" when you use its nickname!
Why a forex trader needs to know currencies nicknames? Well, simply because if you don't you will have a hard time following news, participate in conversation or understand comments of the other forex traders. Imagine listening to financial commentary and not understanding the main words!
Here is a list of the most common currency nicknames:
    US Dollar USD = Buck
    Euro EUR = Fiber
    British Pound GBP = Cable
    Canadian Dollar CAD = Loonie
    Swiss Franc CHF = Swissy
    Japanese Yen JPY = Yen
    Australian Dollar AUD = Aussie
New Zealand Dollar NZD = Kiwi
Like any nickname, currency nicknames have meaning behind them. For example, you might wonder why US Dollar is widely called a Buck. The simple answer to it is that in the late 1700s and early 1800s paper money weren't in use yet. Instead, buckskins were used for trading. At some point the word "buckskins" were shortened to just a "buck".
The nickname for Canadian Dollar - "Loonie" came from the bird on the Canadian coin.
British Pound is called "Cable" and is probably named so because of the Trans-Atlantic cable between US and Britain.
How about Euro? What does Fiber mean? I really don't have a good answer for it. Maybe because it is "easy to digest"? After all, Euro is one of the most traded currencies now-a- days!
And Kiwi for New Zealand dollar has nothing to do with a kiwi fruit! Actually it comes from kiwi - a kind of bird that can't fly which happens to be a national symbol of New Zealand.
Now that you are familiar with currency nicknames you won't look around for help while listening to financial reports and in case you forget you can always come back here and review.
